| Court issues notice to Govt on documents of Jet-Sahara merger
The Bombay High Court on Thursday issued a notice to the government, on a petition filed by Jet Airways asking for documents related to its failed takeover bid of rival Air Sahara. Jet, whose plans to acquire Air Sahara failed due to absence of security clearance, had on Monday filed the petition seeking the documents and notes made by Director General of Civil Aviation and Civil Aviation Ministry on the merger. Jet's application was filed under Section 27 of the Arbitration Act. The single judge bench of Justice Anoop V Mehta asked the government to present its views on April 11. Percussion group far from booked, River Campus official says
The street-percussion extravaganza "STOMP" may not be part of the 2007-2008 season at the River Campus despite prior reports in the Southeast Missourian indicating that it would be. On March 28 the Southeast Missourian reported "STOMP" would be part of the schedule after a speech to the Tri-State Advertising and Marketing Professionals delivered by Robert Cerchio, assistant director of the Southeast Missouri State University School of Visual and Performing Arts, who books acts for the River Campus. The Southeast Missourian also printed an editorial Wednesday that included "STOMP" in its discussion of River Campus offerings. However "STOMP" is far from booked, Cerchio said Wednesday. A season ticket brochure that will be going out to potentially season ticket buyers soon will not include "STOMP," but that doesn't mean the show will not come to the River Campus, Cerchio said.

Clarification on last week's story
NEW CARLISLE - In a story that appeared last week in the Sun, "Teachers disagree with board," staff reported information from Tecumseh Local Board President Jane Manemann that the Tecumseh Education Association submitted only gave the board two dates to negotiate their contracts. According to TEA Representative Russ Ostrowski this was not a clear picture of what transpired and the association only had two options to choose from nights and weekends as the board didn't want to meet during school hours. Ostrowski explained that going on professional advice of a recent mediator, the teachers were advised not to meet after school. In a statement from TEA, he said that beginning in February the TEA offered any day from 12-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, a three day compressed bargaining of Thursday evening, all day Friday and all day Saturday) and a combination of a work day and a weekend day and even offered a teacher in-service day, which were all turned down by the board.
